Need Assistance?

What if I'm facing financial challenges, or know of someone who is?
Call us at 541-322-9392, or email us: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to schedule an appointment with an advocate.

What to expect in your appointment:
City Care can help by appointment only on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Appointments usually last half an hour to 40 minutes and include a financial questionnaire detailing your monthly budget, support networks and the resources already available to you, as well as an interview with an advocate. You will be given a list of action steps required to demonstrate your commitment to becoming empowered for success. These action steps could include meeting with some of our partner organizations, job hunting, or reevaluating your budget to better meet your needs. Financial support may be pledged to you and once you complete your action steps you are eligible to claim your pledged assistance from City Care.

We understand that this is not an immediate assistance process, but our goal is to set you up for long term success and to build an ongoing support network around you, not just a quick fix.

What do I need to bring to my appointment?

  1. A completed application (download application here)
  2. A copy of your bill, shut off notice, or any related financial documentation to confirm the details of your case

Past examples of how City Care has assisted people in the community include:

  • Advocating on behalf of someone regarding their payment plan or bill
  • Providing financial assistance with rent, utilities, cell phone bills for job hunting
  • Connecting someone with alternate options, resources and partner organizations
